Print out the pattern and templates, transfer them to pieces of fabric, and then cut them out. It should be added that it is advisable to apply the outline on the smoother side of the felt, because the smooth side sticks to the Velcro better.
In order to make the tree even, you need to fold the felt in half with the smooth side facing out and draw half the tree freehand with chalk. Then cut the felt, still folded in half, along the intended contour. So our felt Christmas tree on the wall will be symmetrical, and therefore beautiful.

At this stage, the question arose of how to attach the felt Christmas tree to the wall. At first I tried to attach the tree to the wall using masking tape, but I didn’t like this option. As a result, it was decided to use double-sided adhesive tape, which sticks very firmly to surfaces. But if you have wallpaper pasted, then this option may not be suitable, since there is a high probability that it will then be impossible to tear off the tape from the wallpaper without damaging it. In this case, you can use French (tailor's) pins and pin the tree onto the wall, piercing the felt along with the wallpaper. But then you need to make sure that the child does not try to pull them out. Pin them so that they are not visible.
Preparing decorations
I wanted the decorations to be similar to the glass ones that we have been using for a long time. So similar shaped multi-colored Christmas tree decorations were made from brightly colored felt.
After creating the patterns for all the ornaments, different patterns were created to stick on top of the ornaments and vary them up a bit. Velcro was glued to the back side.
The template was not used for gifts. Instead, measure out squares and rectangles of random sizes and cut them out. Then cut strips of felt to make ribbons. And for the bow, use the pattern template.

Then five more circles are strung on the fishing line, forming a tree trunk. The finished part is secured with a knot. The ends of the fishing line are folded together and squares in the shape of a pyramid are put on it, giving them an arbitrary position in relation to each other.

You can make a small three-dimensional tree from felt using the composite construction kit technology. For this craft you will need:
- thick felt;

A voluminous fabric Christmas tree is suitable for interior decoration. It’s quite easy to draw patterns for such crafts with your own hands. Interior textile Christmas trees can be made using different techniques.
Craft using the tilde technique
Using the tilde technique, which is fashionable today, you can make not only unique dolls, but also interior items: for example, a New Year tree. The tilde Christmas tree has smooth lines and a vertically elongated silhouette. Most of these crafts are characterized by a curved top in the form of a cap.
To make a tilde Christmas tree with your own hands from fabric you need:
Making crafts begins with drawing patterns with smooth lines. A sketch of the Christmas tree is transferred onto felt folded in half and two mirror parts are cut out.

Now we put the piece with the cut at the bottom onto the second one - from top to bottom. We insert it into the slits and get a Christmas tree that can be freely not only hung on a wall, curtains or on a real tree, but also placed on a table.
- A Christmas tree made from felt circles placed on a stick will be voluminous. Circles of larger diameter are placed at the bottom, and towards the top these circles become smaller and smaller. It will look interesting if you take felt in different shades of green.
- The same idea can be used in the next version. For example, how to make each layer have a fringe? If you cut the edges of the circles a little. Or even cut into strips that are connected closer to the radius of the circle.
Large felt Christmas tree in the shape of a cone
Not only for small children, but also for adults, you can make a real big beautiful felt fir tree at home. What is needed for that? 6 strips measuring 15 by 41 cm. We lay them out on the fabric at a distance of approximately 0.5 cm from each other.
Glue these strips to the fabric base and cut out the workpiece, taking into account +1cm along the edges and bottom. We bend the bottom of the felt and glue it to the paper. We glue double tape on the sides.
We begin to decorate the future model of the Christmas tree. Sew buttons and glue ribbons. We connect the edges and glue with tape. That's it, the big felt Christmas tree is ready!
