Knitted children's scarf in the shape of a fox. Knitted scarves "chanterelles for sisters" Crochet fox scarf pattern

Hi all!

It's time to insulate the wardrobes of our little fashionistas, so I propose to knit an easy-to-make scarf model in the shape of a fox. I came across it by chance on the Internet and immediately became inspired to knit such a scarf for my baby (the authors of the idea were Satu Dolk and Ossi Laine). My son appreciated the work and now he not only has a warm scarf, but also a toy.

Materials: "Krokha" yarn from the Trinity factory (20% merino wool, 80% acrylic, 50 g\135 m), one skein of two contrasting colors, knitting needles No. 3, a hook or needle for sewing the part and hiding the threads, scissors, eyes and spout

Starting from the second row and in each even row we add 2 loops. We knit the first and last loops of the row, and we make the additions from the broach after the outer loop at the beginning of the row and before the outer loop at the end of the row. The process of adding loops is described in detail in mine (using this scarf as an example). It is necessary to knit, adding loops, until there are 32 (33) loops on the knitting needles. This section will be about 7 cm in length.

Next, we change the thread to a darker one (how to change the thread correctly is described in mine) and knit 32 rows in garter stitch without increasing or decreasing, I remind you that we do not make edge loops! The length of this segment will also be about 7 cm.

Next, we knit another 32 rows with a 1*1 elastic band, we knit the first and last loops of the row with edge stitches (we remove the first loop unknitted, and we always knit the last loop of the row with a purl). If done correctly, the edges of this area will look like a pigtail. And don’t be alarmed, the section knitted with an elastic band will be slightly different from the previously knitted sections of the scarf, and this is where our fox will “snack.”

Let's start knitting the longest part - the body. We knit it in garter stitch for 100-140 rows, without making edge loops. It’s worth explaining a little here, the description of the original states that for a children’s scarf you need to knit 100 rows, for an adult 140. Therefore, I recommend trying the scarf on your baby in order to accurately determine the number of rows and not be disappointed by ending up with a scarf that is too long or short.

Then we knit the head: with a light-colored thread we continue to knit in garter stitch, decreasing stitches in every second row, knitting 2 loops together after the outer loop at the beginning of the row and 2 knit stitches together before the outer loop at the end of the row (this method is discussed in more detail) until There will be no 4 (5) stitches left on the needles. Next, we knit a couple more rows in garter stitch, after which we again begin adding loops as we knitted the tail of our chanterelle at the very beginning. We knit this way until there are 32 (33) loops on the knitting needles again. We close the loops (I tell you in detail about how to do this in mine).

Now we need to tie the ears of our fox. This can be done in two ways: knit separately and sew, or cast on 14 loops from the loops of the first row of the head, and by decreasing every second row according to the algorithm described above, knit with the familiar garter stitch until there are 3 loops left on the knitting needle. Then we cut the thread, pull it through the remaining loops, fasten and hide the ends. We knit the second eye in the same way.

MY HANDCRAFTS/SCARFS “FOXES FOR THE SISTERS” The scarf consists of 3 parts: the fox’s head, body and tail. And as a finishing (for authenticity) – paws. I started knitting with the head of a fox. Upper part of the head: for a gray fox – in 2 strands of gray “diamond”, for a red fox – in 2 strands of red “diamond”, knitting needles No. 3.5. Cast on 6 loops. 1st row: purl stitches. 2nd row: 2 knit, 1 increase - knit from the broach, 2 knit, 1 increase - knit from the broach, 2 knit. Row 3 and all odd rows are purl stitches. 4th row and all even rows with increases. Continue knitting until 28 loops are formed on the knitting needles. Knit 7 rows (purl, knit, purl, knit, purl, knit, purl) without increasing. Now you need to make decreases, knitting 2 loops after the edge loop together with a tilt to the left, and before the last loop 2 loops together with a tilt to the right. There will be 20 loops left on the knitting needle, they need to be removed onto a pin or auxiliary knitting needle. The lower part of the muzzle: for a gray fox - in 2 strands of white “diamond”, in 2 strands of gray; for a red fox - 2 strands of white diamond, 2 strands of red. From the broaches of the initial row of the upper part of the chanterelle's head (from the first 6 loops), cast on 5 loops with a light thread, knit in a stocking pattern. In each front row, add 2 loops on both sides - one after the edge loop and one before the last loop. Increase to 25 loops, in the purl row replace the white thread with a gray (red) thread and knit 5 rows without increasing (purl, knit, purl, knit, purl) and start decreasing to 19 loops. Close the loops. Without cutting the thread, I crochet the head in a circle and turn it inside out, then I cut off the thread, leaving a tip 40-50 cm long, so that I can then use this thread to sew the lower part of the muzzle to the scarf. But I’m not sewing up my neck yet. Torso. Place 20 gray (red) loops on a needle No. 3.5 and continue with garter knitting in 3 threads - 1 gray (red) “diamond” thread, 2 threads of white (red) grass. In the second and fourth rows, add two loops on both sides of the knitting and continue on 24 loops to the desired length. I have a 60 cm ponytail. After the body of the required length is knitted, proceed to knitting the tail. Next, knit a 1x1 rib pattern in 3 threads, add 2 loops in the second row (1 loop on both sides). Knit a tail 40 cm long, gradually replacing the threads. For the gray fox, after 8 cm I replaced the gray “diamond” with a light gray half-wool (remnants from a knitted cap with a shoulder), after another 8 cm I replaced the light gray half-wool with a white “diamond”, and then after 5 cm I replaced the white “diamond” on white grass and finished knitting with white grass in 3 threads. After 30 cm, I began to decrease 1 loop on the tail on both sides. I knitted the remaining 7 loops on the knitting needles with one loop and closed the knitting. For the red fox, I gradually replaced the threads on the tail (initially 2 red “grass” and 1 red “diamond”) - first I replaced one thread of the red “grass” with a white “grass”, then the red “diamond” was replaced with a white “grass”. I finished knitting with three threads of “grass”, gradually reducing it to 5 loops. Head finishing. I embroidered spots on the forehead of a gray fox with white grass. I stuffed the muzzle with padding polyester and hemmed the neck with the leftover thread. Ears: cast on 16 loops with gray thread; 1st row – purl; 2nd row - front row, immediately start making decreases - 7 and 8 loops together with a tilt to the left, 9 and 10 loops together with a tilt to the right. Knit until there are 4 loops left on the needle. Knit a purl row, and in the next knit one, start adding 2 stitches per row until 16 stitches are formed on the knitting needles again. Fold the ears in half and sew them with the same thread, leaving the tip long enough so that you can sew the ears to the fox’s head. For the gray fox, I tied the ears with white grass. The front paws. For the red fox: cast on 6 loops with black diamond yarn, knit 10 rows with garter knitting, continue with the red diamond, adding 2 loops in the 12th row. Knit another 13 rows. There are 23 rows in total. Close the loops, leave the thread long enough to sew the paws to the scarf. For the gray fox: cast on 6 loops with gray diamond thread, knit garter stitch 10 rows, add 1 thread of white grass and knit another 14 rows. A total of 24 rows. Hind paws. For a red fox: cast on 6 loops (in 2 threads) with black thread, knit 10 rows with garter knitting and continue with a red “diamond” thread for another 18 rows. A total of 28 loops. Close off, leaving a thread for sewing . For the gray fox: cast on 6 loops with gray diamond thread (in 2 threads) and knit 10 loops with garter knitting, add 1 thread of white “grass” and knit another 19 rows. A total of 29 rows. Close off, leaving a thread for sewing. Sew on paws, on the gray fox's paws we embroider the claws and on the middle of the ears with black thread. We sew on button eyes and embroider a nose. It turns out to be such a fox.

Hi all! I got wrapped up and almost forgot to show off my scarf, knitted to go with the “Cute Fox” hat.

The scarf has a double muzzle of a fox - the tail is threaded through the ring and fastened with a button - the nose

Throw an orange thread over your finger and knit a stitch to the end

Now I wanted to kind of incorporate orange into the white part (I don’t know what else to call it). In short, I knit the first double crochet at the top of the double crochet not on the last row, but on the row before it

Then a double crochet is tied into the middle of the double crochet of the previous row and finally I knit further as usual, but 2 more times on each side I make double crochets at the top of the double crochet not of the last row, but of the row in front of it

Next, we crochet an elastic band - alternating convex and concave double crochets. We knit this way 11 cm - the width of my scarf. Then we knit again with double crochets to the desired length of the scarf (don’t forget that there will also be a muzzle).

We knit the muzzle as follows. First, I decreased 2 loops on each side in one row, in the next 1 loop on each side, then knitted a row with convex double crochets (this is how I made the “neck”). In the next row, add 3 loops on each side.

Next, we attach a white thread - knit 5 dc in white, 17 dc in orange, 5 dc in white. In the next rows on each side we will decrease one loop - we knit like this - in white - 1 Dc, decrease - 1 Dc from two loops, 3 Dc, then in orange 15 Dc, then in white - 3 Dc, decrease, 1 Dc. Thus, despite the decrease, the number of white columns remains unchanged, and the number of orange columns decreases. We knit this way until 13 loops remain. Then we knit as follows - in white - 1 dc, decrease - 1 dc from two loops, 3 dc, then from 3 orange loops we knit a common stitch in white, then 3 dc, decrease, 1 dc.

Next we knit only in white - we decrease by 1 loop on both sides. In the next row we knit like this - 1 dc, 2 dc together, 3 dc together, 2 dc together, 1 dc. Then 1 dc, 2 dc2h (dc) together through one loop, 1 dc.

Then we begin to knit the reverse side of the muzzle (in white). We make increases symmetrical to the decreases in the upper part. Then we fold the muzzle in half and sew a little along the edges at the top - about 1 cm.

We knit ears - each of 2 triangles - orange and white. I have 8 loops at the base of the triangle, then another row of 8 loops, then in each row I decrease by 1 loop on each side. Then I tie both parts together with single crochets in orange. The eyes are buttons and the nose too.

All! Easy loops for everyone.

Description of work

Knitting begins with the fox's head.

We will knit a gray fox, the red one is made in the same way.

Use gray diamond thread to cast on 6 stitches onto working knitting needles.

Row 1: edge stitch (KRM), purl 5 stitches, turn.

Row 2: KRM, 2 knits (LC), increase from the broach, 2 LC, increase from the broach, 2 LC, turn.

3 and all odd rows: knit with purl stitches.

4 and all subsequent even rows are knitted with increases.

We knit the head until there are 28 loops on the knitting needle.

Then we knit 7 rows with straight fabric.

Odd rows: *P, LC* - to the end.

Even rows: *LC, PR* - to the end.

After we have knitted 7 rows with straight fabric, we begin to decrease the loops. At the beginning and end of each row we knit two loops together with a slope (right and left). We decrease until the total amount is 20. We remove the loops on the pin and proceed to the lower part of the face.

From the initially cast on six loops we make five broaches with white thread, we get 5 loops. We continue to knit in sock stitch, while in each even row (front row), after and before the KRM loops we make an increase in loops. The number of loops on the knitting needle should be 20.

In the last purl row, change the thread to gray and knit 5 rows, according to the pattern of the straight fabric of the first part of the head. We reduce the loops to a total number of loops equal to 19. And finish the part by closing the loops. Do not cut the thread.

This is what you should get:

Next, crochet the two pieces together in a circle. If you don’t know how to crochet, then just sew them with a needle. After crocheting, leave a thread 40-50 cm long for further work. We leave the neck unstitched.

Torso

We will knit the body of the chanterelle from gray and white grass; if the thread is thin, then fold the white yarn in half.

We cast on 20 loops on the knitting needles. And we knit a body with a length of 60 cm in garter stitch. Do not forget to make two increases on both sides at the beginning of knitting, up to the number of loops 24 on the knitting needle.

Tail

After reaching the desired length of the body, we move on to knitting the tail. The tail is knitted in garter stitch, using the method of alternating three threads every 8 cm and white grass will finish knitting the tail.

At the beginning of knitting the tail, you need to add 2 loops on both sides of the row and knit alternating colors with each other 30 cm with a straight fabric. Then decrease the loops on both sides one at a time until there are 7 loops left on the knitting needle that need to be closed at a time.

Head finishing

You need to embroider spots on your forehead with white yarn. Seal the muzzle with filler.

Ears

Cast on 16 stitches using gray yarn on knitting needles. Work two rows in garter stitch. Next we knit a decrease with a slope to the left (7 and 8 loops together) and with a slope to the right (9 and 10 loops together). Knit in this way until there are 4 loops on the knitting needle.

Now you need to start adding from the front row. Add to the total number of loops equal to 16. Fold the finished part in half and sew. Leave the end of the thread for sewing the part to the head. In total, you need to connect two parts.

Tie the ears with white “grass” around the edges.

Forepaws

6 cast-on loops are knitted like this (front row - knit; purl - purl), 10 rows in total, change the thread to white grass and knit another 14 rows. In total you need to knit 4 parts of 24 rows.

Hind legs

They are knitted similarly to the front ones, only we knit not 14, but 19 rows with white yarn.

We sew the parts of the legs together and lightly stuff them with filler. We sew on the claws with black yarn and embroider the nose on the muzzle. Sew on the eyes. We collect all the details into one whole and admire our brainchild.

This is the kind of little fox-sister we got, the child will be incredibly happy and, of course, very grateful for such a beautiful little fox scarf.
