One glove is lost – is this a familiar situation? What to do with the remaining orphan glove? Soft toys made from gloves are a way out and a fun way to spend time, because you can make a toy from gloves together with your child. We offer a master class - in this case we are making a cat. And if you have a second single glove, then clothes for the cat. If you do everything correctly, you will end up with a cat like this:

How to make a toy from a glove

For work you will need: thread with a needle, scissors, stuffing for toys (holofiber is ideal), buttons.

Carefully, as in the picture, cut off parts of the gloves and sew them in place. Sew the finger part as a paw as shown below:

Don't forget to sew on the tail! In the place where the glove meets the wrist elastic, sew and tighten the thread, highlighting the head in this way. Fill the toy with holofiber. Why them? Because this kind of toy filler is hypoallergenic and will perfectly fill the cavity of the toy, because that’s what it’s designed for. After you stuff the cat with holofiber, sew up the glove.

Sew the corners of the elastic to highlight the ears.

And if you have another single glove, you can make a sleeveless vest for the cat. To do this, simply cut off all the fingers and make slits on the sides of the glove.

Recently, they have become quite fashionable. And why all? They can be sewn very quickly and easily, and they do not require any special sewing skills, except the most basic ones. No less interesting is sewing toys from gloves and mittens. They are also very easy to make, but the toys come out to be of a slightly different type. So, let's figure out how to make a toy from a glove.

How to sew a toy from a glove?

In this master class we will look at how to sew funny monsters from gloves. They are very easy to sew and a lot of fun to play with. First, before we begin describing the sewing process, let's look at what materials we will need for this task.

  • gloves;
  • batting;
  • sewing machine;
  • needle and thread;
  • snaps or buttons for the eyes, as well as felt to create the monster's mouth.

Having decided on the materials, we proceed directly to the process of creating our charming monsters from gloves.

Step 1: Turn the glove inside out. Hide her thumb inside the glove. Sew the opening of the glove inward, leaving only a small hole so that you can then stuff the toy glove with batting. It is convenient to perform this action using a sewing machine, but you can also sew the hole by hand if you do not like machines. Then turn the glove right side out.

Step 2: Turn the cuff inside out. Stuff the glove with batting, making sure all four fingers are well padded. Then sew up the small hole through which you stuffed the glove. And the most interesting thing remains - creating a face for the monster. Cut out facial features from felt for the monster - mouth and eyes. But keep in mind that you can also use buttons as eyes for the monster, which look very good on its face. After finishing work on the monster’s face, it can already be given to the child for active and fun use.

DIY glove toys are a very fun and interesting activity for the whole family, because everyone can participate in the process of creating and then playing with these funny creatures.

Despite the diversity of companies producing children's products, the doll industry has recently become noticeably impoverished - for some reason the toys in all stores are the same. Their quality also leaves much to be desired.

Here the thought involuntarily appears that the best toy for a child will be the one that you make for him yourself from scrap materials. For example, old gloves.

It's in your hands

Do-it-yourself toys made from gloves is a completely new type of needlework, which stands alongside crafts made from socks, nylon tights and other things. Their beauty is that now you don’t need to throw away your old favorite thing - you can turn it into something useful for you and your child.

To make, for example, a funny little hare from a glove, you will need the following materials:

  1. A pair of bright children's gloves;
  2. Threads;
  3. Filler;
  4. Comfortable needle;
  5. Scissors;
  6. Doll eyes and other toy decoration items.

For the product, it is better to choose fluffy gloves made of mohair or other fleecy material. Then the toy will be soft, and uneven seams will be hidden by pile.

  • Place the gloves in front of you, fingers down, pinkies facing out.
  • Cut out the middle and ring fingers on both gloves, along with a piece of adjacent fabric to form a protruding wedge - you won't need these parts.
  • Cut the remaining parts of the glove in half so that you are left with one piece with the thumb, index finger and part of the fabric up to the wrist, and the other with the little finger and part of the fabric up to the wrist.
  • Cut off the excess fabric and sew the bases of the little fingers to each other - this is the head with the ears.
  • Now sew together the parts with the thumb and forefinger - these are parts of the hare’s body with the neck, arms and legs.
  • Stuff the body tightly with filler, also stuff the ears and sew the parts to each other.

Now your bunny is ready! Add doll eyes or button eyes to it, decorate its ears or neck with an elegant bow made of ribbon, attach antennae made of wire - give free rein to your imagination to make your glove toy look better than any store-bought one!

Using a creative approach to the method outlined above, you can make not only a hare, but also other funny animals from gloves.

Cat

Since mittens are most often made gray or striped, it would be a shame not to use them to make a toy cat! To do this, cut off the middle finger and little finger of the glove at the base. The hole from the middle finger is sewn up, and the finger itself needs to be sewn to the place of the little finger.

Now, where the tail joins on the cat’s back, you need to make a vertical cut and sew the little finger there.

The body of the future cat is tightly stuffed with filler and pulled tightly together in the neck area.

The cat's head needs to be stuffed only to the middle, after which the glove sleeve is sewn up from the edges - this is how the ears are formed.

The finished Murzik can also be decorated with buttons, beads and ribbons.

Chanterelle

To make a fox, you need to choose a bright glove - red or orange. In extreme cases, yellow and red will do. The body is made according to the cat principle.

The cuff of the glove is cut off for the head. The upper part is sewn up according to the cat stitch principle. After this, the head is stuffed halfway, and the remaining hole is gathered with a thread to create a sharp nose. The head is sewn to the body.

The red glove toy is ready! By the way, such toys can also be used for home puppet theater.

Octopus

An octopus made from a glove is even easier to create than other toys! Just fill it with stuffing, sew up the sleeve and decorate it with button eyes. An ugly sewn-up area can be disguised with a homemade wig, hat or hairpin - the toy will turn out to be flirty with such decoration. Or, another option for making an octopus from gloves - watch the video:

If you find an old glove in your closet, don’t rush to throw it away! Here you will learn how to make a cute toy out of a glove: a puppy, a giraffe, or a hero from your favorite fairy tale. Believe me, your child will be delighted with the soft fluffy miracle.

Tools and materials for manufacturing:

  • - different color. It is advisable that one of the gloves be of a single color.
  • – material for filling the product: wool, cotton wool, rice, peas, padding polyester, etc.
  • – buttons or beads to create eyes and nose.
  • - scissors
  • – needle
  • – threads.

Manufacturing process:

– Take a glove to create the body of the toy. Use scissors to cut off the middle finger and little finger. Moreover, for symmetry, I recommend cutting off the little finger along an oblique line.

– Sew up the holes with threads of the same color as the glove.

– Make a small cut on the same side where the little finger hole is sewn, just a little higher (opposite the thumb).

– At this point, hand sew the cut little finger, as shown in the picture. You can sew with any seam, the main thing is that the parts of the product are sewn tightly enough.

– Sew the middle finger in the center of the glove (on the reverse side) in the same way. This will be the tail.

– Fill the toy evenly with any filling material. In my project I used cotton wool.

Do-it-yourself Easter crafts for kindergarten (photo) help you take a fresh look at familiar objects! On Easter days, when nature comes to life and life triumphs, the best gift is a basket with Easter cakes and painted eggs. We invite you and your child to work a little to complement the classic ensemble with a cute character - a chicken created from a rubber glove.

This homemade product gives you a huge space for creativity: you can use blanks and decorations of different colors, shapes and textures. All the birds you create will be unique and inimitable!

What you will need

Prepare tools and materials to make a craft for Easter to kindergarten with your own hands:

  • Kitchen glove
  • Felt pen
  • Colored paper
  • Feathers
  • Piece (volume) eyes for crafts
  • Buttons
  • Napkins
  • Toilet paper
  • Glue stick and scissors.

What are we doing

First of all, we need to create the basis for our DIY kids craft. Take a thick rubber glove- you can buy these at any hardware store - and squeeze it tightly at the very bottom. Without weakening the compression, we raise our fist higher on the glove - this way we drive air into its upper part. We intercept area under the palm using an elastic band.

We tuck cuff so that it forms a small container, which we will fill with toilet paper. We've got a stand! Decorate the top of the stand with thinly cut green paper strips. Our chicken went out for a walk on the grassy lawn.

The main task is completed, now it's a matter of finishing. We cut out the crest and beak (you will need red material) and glue a pair of voluminous eyes to the hen (if you don’t have them on hand, use a win-win combination of white and black circles).

Some ideas for finishing touches

When making crafts for Easter to kindergarten with your own hands (see photo below), you can use the following recommendations:

  • You can draw colorful dots on the corydalis or stick a collection on it buttons
  • Use formatted feather paper pieces or decorate your homemade craft with real feathers in radical shades.
  • Paper rings never go out of style. We just put them on all four fingers.
  • Regular folded in half napkins will be a wonderful accessory in its simplicity.
